Tile Leveling System
>
Natural stone tiles present a leveling challenge that factory-calibrated porcelain does not — inherent thickness variation of ±1-2mm within the same batch and edge irregularity from sawn or tumbled finishes. The YF-TLC-OO 3.0mm joint width is specifically dimensioned to absorb this variation while the 34mm bridge provides stable clamping across uneven stone edges.
The Oval Opening body is molded from 100% virgin PP — chemically inert and non-staining on porous stone surfaces. Tested on travertine, limestone, and honed marble, the clip material leaves zero transfer marks even on light-colored stone during extended 24-48 hour cure times. The complete 1.0-3.0mm range means stone contractors handling mixed-spec projects use a single clip model across all joint widths.

| 1.5mm | Contemporary commercial |
| 2.0mm | Standard ceramic/porcelain |
| 2.5mm | Heavy-traffic commercial |
| 3.0mm | Natural stone, rustic ceramic, exterior paving |

Q: Do I need to seal stone before using these clips?
A: Standard stone sealing before grouting applies. The clips require no special preparation. For polished marble, our YF-TG-2.0 protective gasket is available as an additional precaution.
Q: Will the clip leave marks on honed travertine?
A: No. Smooth PP contact surface leaves zero residue on all tested stone types. No protective film required for standard stone finishes.
Q: How does grout consumption compare to standard joints?
A: 3.0mm joints consume approximately 50% more grout than 2.0mm. Factor this into material estimates for large commercial stone projects.
Q: Exterior stone — what grout do you recommend?
A: Epoxy grout or polymer-modified cement rated for freeze-thaw environments. 3.0mm joints provide adequate depth for both types.
Q: Can I get stone-specific test reports for submittal?
A: Yes. Chemical inertness test reports, UV resistance data, and material certification for stone project submittals provided upon request.
